When you donate to NME, you’re investing in your local artists, and in the bold, boundary-breaking musical works that they are creating.
Edmonton has a remarkable community of artistic minds, and NME exists to help those artists turn their experimental ideas into unforgettable sonic experiences. We commission composers, present performers, engage curators, and open doors for the public through free outreach programs.
In our 2025–26 season, your support helped us to: present 57 local and Canadian artists, premiere 13 new works, and hold 5 free or low-cost community outreach events.
We have been keeping our membership and ticket prices as low as possible, while continuing to present many events digitally to reach the widest and most diverse audience possible. Almost all of our events since 2020 are available to watch for free on our Vimeo channel, and all episodes of our podcast, The No Normal, are freely available through SoundCloud and podcast platforms.
We thank you for your generosity – every dollar helps us in our mission to create and present sonic art. Your contributions directly support artists as well as helping to fund NME operations including concerts and outreach.

Endowment Fund Update
In March 2024, New Music Edmonton set out to raise funds for an endowment held with the Edmonton Community Foundation — one dedicated to nurturing early-career musicians and supporting the development of future sound artists across Northern Alberta.
We are incredibly happy to announce that thanks to your generous support, we have reached our $10,000 goal, allowing us to activate this long-awaited endowment! This is wonderful news, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped to make it happen. We would like to personally thank all of our donors who made this possible!
While this milestone marks an exciting new chapter for emerging artists in Edmonton, our work doesn’t stop here. We commission composers, present performers, engage curators, and open doors to the public through free outreach programs. All of these initiatives are happening thanks to your ongoing support, and every donation to our general fund or our endowment fund will keep New Music Edmonton active and growing.
