Join us for our third live show of the season, as we present a solo performance by k.burwash! Using modular synths, k.burwash will create a compelling, detailed, and delicate sonic and visual ecosystem. Evolution and change of the ecosystem bring the listening audience into the process, effecting an experiment in sound ecology that is unique to each performance.

Decomposing: working with modular synthesizers to simultaneously compose and ‘decompose’, k.burwash presents unpredictable ambient environments.

The Artist

k.burwash uses synthesizers to create ambient decompositions, a process of creating musical moments which are then fed through further modular synthesizers to erode the input. Reconfiguring and rearranging, layering and blending in real time to create new, more complex sounds allowed to change and evolve for the listener to explore and get lost in. K. burwash has released 4 albums, the most recent, “Holding Air” came out this spring on Shimmering Moods out of the Netherlands.
